Kent Getzin

Kent Getzin is a lifelong culinarian with over 46 years of experience and a proud graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. After two decades honing his craft in fine dining restaurants and country clubs, Kent made a bold pivot toward something with lasting impact:

transforming school food.

As Foodservice Director for the Wenatchee School District for 17 years, Kent led the creation of a nationally recognized Farm to School and scratch-cooking program. Thanks to his leadership, students in all 13 of Wenatchee’s schools enjoyed fresh, delicious, and locally sourced meals every day.

In 2016, Kent and CherylAnn launched Chef Kent Getzin Consulting, where he now travels the country as a sought-after trainer and advisor—motivating school foodservice teams to “do more and more scratch cooking every day!” in their Child Nutrition programs!
